Introduction to Bowl Turning is the follow-up workshop to Introduction to Woodturning, taking those basic skills and putting them to the challenge of bowl turning. We show you how to turn a piece of timber into a finished bowl using the correct tools and safe cuts.

Over the duration of the workshop we will cover:

  • A refresher on safety and the lathe
  • Different types of Chucks and holding timber in the Lathe
  • Basic shaping and design
  • Sanding and Finishing

After the workshop, students will leave with a finished bowl that they have designed, shaped, and crafted themselves.
