Wenge Bowl Blank 170 x 55mm

Wenge is a beautiful, dark hardwood from Central Africa that’s highly sought after by woodturners and fine craftsmen. Its rich chocolate-brown colour, accented by striking black streaks, gives every piece a bold and elegant character. The timber has a medium to coarse texture with a straight or slightly interlocked grain, allowing it to finish to a smooth, polished surface with an impressive natural sheen.

Dense and durable, Wenge turns exceptionally well when using sharp tools and produces crisp details with a refined finish. It’s perfect for pen turning, bowls, handles, and other decorative woodturned projects where contrast and depth of colour are desired.
