Application Process: Rustins Plastic Coating requires mixing two parts before application. However, unlike many two-part finishes, this product is incredibly easy to use. Simply mix 4 parts Rustins Plastic Coating with 1 part Rustins Plastic Coating Hardener to create the coating. It’s efficient, and the 250ml starter kit can cover approximately 15 square feet (1.33 sq. meters) with three coats applied.
The application process involves:
-
First Coat: Apply with a brush, spray, or roller.
-
Subsequent Coats: Apply 3-4 coats within an hour of each previous application.
-
Curing: Allow the finish to cure for up to 48 hours for optimal hardness and durability.
Any leftover mixed product can be kept for up to 3 days in an open container, or much longer if sealed and refrigerated, making it easy to store for future use.
Finishing Options: After the curing process (up to 48 hours), Rustins Plastic Coating can be finished in three distinct ways, depending on the desired look and intended use.
